Jeffrey Pinch Opens The New Eva And Les Erdi Emergency And Trauma Centre At The Alfred Hospital

Today, Jeffrey Pinch was delighted to open the Eva and Les Erdi Emergency and Trauma Centre at the Alfred Hospital on behalf of the Erdigroup and the Eva and Les Erdi Humanitarian Charitable Foundation.

In Jeffrey’s opening address, he provided insight into the mission of the Eva and Les Erdi Humanitarian Charitable Foundation. That being, “to perpetuate the vision, passion and drive of Eva and Les Erdi by ensuring that the Foundation’s philanthropy is directed to causes that were closest to their hearts.”

“Les and Eva Erdi were passionate about philanthropy and their capacity to change people’s lives. Les was passionate about supporting research work that aimed to bring about healthier lives for the Australian community and for the generations that follow us. Eva, on the other hand believed in philanthropy that had a direct impact on people’s lives. Eva also wanted to make a lasting contribution to Australia and in particular Melbourne as the place where they were allowed to live their lives in peace and harmony after surviving the horrors of the Second World War.”

The multi-million dollar upgrade will treat more than 65,000 emergency patients each year, including up to 8,000 trauma patients who will receive care in the emergency department.
